The Veil Between is a deeply emotive exhibition that brings together the haunting portraiture of Caroline Solbakken and the introspective symbolism of Claudio Pagone’s White Flag series. Both artists navigate the quiet spaces between expression and concealment, revealing powerful human truths that often remain unspoken.

Solbakken, a Norwegian-born artist based on the Gold Coast, offers tender and psychologically charged portraits that explore identity, vulnerability, and transformation. Her works are rendered with exquisite detail, inviting viewers to pause and witness the inner lives of her subjects.

Italian artist Claudio Pagone presents six works from the White Flag series, created in collaboration under the name Monticelli & Pagone. These subtle, graphite and watercolor pieces evoke themes of surrender, reconciliation, and the fragile strength that resides in letting go.

Together, their works form a poignant dialogue on emotional resilience, revealing what lies just beneath the surface—between struggle and peace, concealment and revelation, and the ever-thin veil that separates them.
