Katherine Carson's work focuses on capturing the beauty of nature. She utilises her knowledge of colour, value, design, and drawing to depict moments of light across diverse landscapes. She primarily works with oils and occasionally with watercolours, reflecting her deep affection for the natural world.

Previously known as Katherine Castle, she gained international recognition for her bird paintings, which have been published worldwide through Maxwell and Williams. Her artwork has adorned millions of products, including mugs, plates, and tea towels. Additionally, several of her pieces have been featured in publications, including a notable appearance in Penny Olsen's book "Feather and Brush”.

In recent years, Katherine's artistic focus has shifted toward landscapes. Her goal is to recreate the natural wonders of our world, encouraging viewers to connect with nature and fostering environmental awareness through her art.

Carson holds an art diploma from Meadowbank TAFE, where she developed essential technical skills. She has continued her education through workshops with accomplished Australian impressionist and realist artists such as Colley Whisson and Warwick Fuller.

She has exhibited in both solo and group shows across various galleries in her region as well as winning many awards for her paintings.
