Nicole Slattery

Gold Coast artist Nicole Slattery has been painting for more than 25 years, working primarily in oils to capture the vibrant colour, texture and beauty of the Australian landscape. Her practice has been deeply influenced by a 16-month journey around Australia with her family, where the ochres of the Northern Territory and Western Australia, tropical sunsets, turquoise coastlines and rolling southern hills provided endless inspiration.

Nicole’s paintings celebrate not only the visual beauty of the landscape, but also the feeling of being immersed within it. Through careful observation, rich colour and attention to light and detail, she creates works that evoke a strong sense of place and lived experience.

A regular finalist in art awards, including The Doyles Art Awards, Nicole exhibits at The Hive Art Gallery & Studio in Currumbin. She also shares her passion for creativity through children’s art classes and school holiday workshops at The Hive.
