Hive Kids Art Class 9-12 years

Join us for a fun, hands-on art class designed to spark creativity and build real skills!
In this 8-week program, kids will explore painting, drawing, and making through playful, confidence-building activities. Along the way, they’ll naturally strengthen their observational skills, eye–hand coordination, and creative problem-solving — all while having a great time.

Each week, children will experiment with a range of materials, including:
🎨 Pencil
🖌️ Ink wash
🌈 Watercolour + paints
📓 Sketchbooks
🧱 Air-dry clay

Together, we’ll:
🌿 Look closely at the amazing details in plants, animals, and our landscape
✏️ Build strong drawing and painting foundations
✨ Learn to mix colours, understand light and shade, and explore positive/negative space to create balanced, beautiful compositions

This class is a lovely opportunity for your child to connect with nature, enjoy a calming creative environment, and develop lifelong journaling and art-making skills to capture their ideas, observations, and travels.

All materials are provided — just bring enthusiasm and imagination!

We take some photos and videos to use as promotional material. By booking into one of our workshops or classes you are giving your consent for us to use these images that you may be included in. We completely respect everyone’s right to choose privacy, so please let us know before the session if you don't wish you or your child to be included in any photos.

Credits will not be issued for last minute cancellations. Please advise before 9am on the morning of class if your child is unable to attend due to illness. Credits will apply the following term.
