And So There was Light

We’ve been absolutely delighted with the response to our current exhibition, Let There Be Light, featuring the extraordinary monochromatic works of Zenga Butler, Nita Barca, Caroline Solbakken, Janine O’Reilly and Rebecca Cunningham.

Since opening on 22 August, visitors have been captivated by Zenga’s beautifully rendered graphite portraits and Nita’s intricate charcoal studies celebrating the beauty and intelligence of the natural world. Janine’s striking nature photography captures beautiful moments of light, texture and detail, revealing the quiet wonder found ariund us here.

Rebecca’s incredible ink works bring the human figure into the natural landscape, combining her mastery of figurative drawing with an evocative exploration of our connection to nature. Caroline’s evocative work adds another dimension to the exhibition, bringing her distinctive sensitivity to light, mood and human experience.

Exploring light, shadow and form, Let There Be Light is also a gentle reminder of the power of light as a symbol of hope, renewal and positivity, even during life’s darker moments.

There are also beautiful bespoke ceramic pieces from Roz Perugino’s Palm Beach Reef Series, including glazes Roz has mixed herself.

The exhibition closes on Thursday 10 September, so there’s still time to visit. If you haven’t made it in yet, we’d love to welcome you to The Hive to experience these remarkable works in person before the exhibition comes to a close.
