The Hive Art Gallery invites artists of all backgrounds and disciplines to be part of Small Wonders, a curated exhibition celebrating the beauty and impact of small-scale artworks.

This exhibition explores the idea that powerful art doesn’t need a large canvas. We are seeking works that captivate through detail, invite close viewing, and reward quiet moments of observation—artworks where intimacy becomes the strength.

Artists are invited to submit works created on 8 × 10 inch (20 × 25 cm) canvas or panel boards. All styles, subjects, and mediums are welcome. Whether bold and expressive or refined and subtle, Small Wonders is an opportunity to transform a modest surface into something truly memorable.

Submission Guidelines

  • Artwork must be created on 8 × 10 inch (20.3 × 25.4 × approx 3 - 4 cm) canvas or panel board.
    Musgrave Art Supplies have the appropriate Painting Surfaces available.

  • All mediums and styles are welcome

  • Artworks must be exhibition-ready (including appropriate for hanging hardware-D-Rings and wire)

  • Selected artists will be notified following the submission closing date via email.

  • Delivery of selected works is the responsibility of the artist

  • Cost is $25.

  • Artwork Delivery: On or before Tuesday 3 March, 10am–4pm
