Steve Gorman Portrait in Oil

We kicked off the New Year with an amazing 2 day workshop dedicated to getting to know your process as your best friend with award winning portrait painter, Steve Gorman @gormanism. It was so inspiring to see some first timers painting with oils and from a live model. Many thanks to Rebecca @lifedrawingsessions for her unwavering enthusiasm, to sitter @tinkalovin, and Steve for an informative and extremely productive weekend of colour, form and expressive painting instruction. Always love that hint of oil in the studio!!

Steve Gorman is the winner of the Dean Cogle Portrait Prize (2023), and has studied at the Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney.
